Happy thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all eat your weight in turkey and all the trimmings! We are going out to a thanksgiving buffet today with my parents and my step-brother. We’ve never done an “out” thanksgiving before… I hope it rocks! My mom cooked a turkey yesterday anyway so she could give us all some for sandwiches. (My mom is awesome, in case you hadn’t picked up on that already.) I am having a hard time waiting for 1:00 to roll around! I just cooked some “brown and serve” rolls, I love rolls so I wanted some at home. I figured eating a couple would hold me over til dinnertime… but instead it has kind of left my stomach going “yeah? Where’s the rest!!” Soon, grasshoppa.

And yeah, yeah. I missed a day. I actually thought of it at about 10:30 last night, but I was already all snuggled up and warm in bed. I wasn’t getting back up, no way, no how. Sorry interwebs! I’m sure you forgive me. Yesterday we went and dropped off a ton of stuff at a place that takes old computers and electronics. He might refurbish *some* of what we dropped off, but mostly it will get recycled. Then we met Jeff’s dad at Applebee’s. We didn’t know the Applebee’s part until after we’d already eaten lunch, so we got desserts. Mmm. THEN we went to the mall to see A Christmas Carol. We had some time to kill before the show though, so I got those things I wanted to buy at Walmart a couple weeks ago (I don’t think I mentioned that I didn’t have any luck at Walmart that day, and it just left me frustrated and grumpy) – at JC Penney. A little more expensive there, but at least everything was on sale what with the time of year. And, also, they actually had things that worked. We also stopped in the Hallmark store and I got this ornament:

It’s adorable right? I thought it didn’t have a date on it when we picked it, but the baby’s hat actually says 2009. I decided I can just paint right over that pretty easily with a tiny bit of yellow paint though. Problem solved.

I just ate dinner (nothing special, just a chicken patty and some seasoned spiral fries) and I can hardly move now. So Full! And speaking of full, Thanksgiving is sneaking right up on us! I have the next five days off work and am super excited about that. On Thanksgiving my mom and Dave are taking us out to a Thanksgiving buffet. But my mom is still cooking a turkey tomorrow so that we can all have some leftovers for sandwiches… That really threw me for a loop when she said she was cooking a turkey anyway. I just couldn’t figure out what she was talking about… “what do you mean, I thought we were supposed to meet you at the restaurant?” D’oh! I’m a genius.

This post is coming to you from my laptop… which I very rarely use anymore. But I got on here to put some older photos of Dale and Chewy onto our flash drive, so I could take them over to the desktop and work on that picaboo book I won. But I haven’t made it that far yet. I did go through and put the pictures on the drive though, so there’s that. Here’s a couple of them:

Tiny air sacs called alveoli begin to form in lungs and the vocal chords are formed. Baby goes through the motions of crying but without air doesn’t make a sound; yet.

Your baby may have the same awake and sleep patterns of a newborn. Baby will have a favorite position for sleep and recognizable active and rest periods.

Your baby measures about 6 inches (15cm) crown to rump and weighs about 7 ounces (200gm).

Happy Saturday! I hope you all got to nap as much as I did today… heh

Because I no can has anything to write tonight… some lolcats! I save the best ones to a folder on my computer and our screensaver is set to rotate through them. It’s pretty much my most brilliant moment ever.

I think I do one of these posts every year. This one can’t be any different! Except… I don’t really know what I want for Christmas. Everything I have thought of so far I have mentioned to Jeff as something we could get for both of us and save for Christmas – and he says eh let’s just get it for now. Like the new desk chair. And the new comforter. And that digital camcorder. Yeah.

I guess I would like a printer. Nothing fancy, we have purchased somewhat fancy in the past and when it dies and customer service are asses about it it just pisses you off more. So something cheap that when it croaks I can say “eh, well. You get what you pay for.” Actually I think my mom might have one that came with her new computer that she’d probably give me. Maybe I should ask her and if she doesn’t want it – have her wrap it up.

Everything else I think of is pretty boring! Like, this shelf. I need that shelf. Maybe two or three of it. With some totes maybe to put things in and then on that shelf. Totally boring.

I also need a couple of these blackout curtains. But who the hell wants to ask for curtains for Christmas?! I need some inspiration!

Usually I ask for pajama pants and snowmen. But… I have a million snowmen and pajama pants now. I’ll probably still get a couple of each, and that’s fine. But I shouldn’t ask for more or I will be buried beneath them all!

Wait a minute. I know what I want! I want an ice cream maker. Like maybe this one. And ingredients! Someone tell my husband! STAT!

I just let Dale outside, and I told him to “wait a second” as he walked past me before I could hook him up… and he growled at me! It was pretty funny.

Pretty soon here we are going to go out to Pizza Hut. How exciting! It was Heather’s idea, we are going to meet her there. But we have to  wait til her daughters dance class is over at 6:30. SIX THIRTY?! I don’t know if I can make it that long! I’m going to have to get me a snack.

That’s pretty much all I’ve got today. Lame, I know!

Way back in August when we went camping, Jeff lost his wallet. We think he probably set it either on the gas pump, or the back of the car while he was pumping gas, then we drove away. We realized it after we got about a half hour away and stopped to pick up dinner… and he couldn’t find it. So we turned back around and searched the pump, the parking lot, checked with the cashier, and kept an eye out for far too long along the side of the road, but no luck. Of course we cancelled all his cards and everything the next morning. We’ve since gotten him a replacement license and all else he would need. And then last night I had a voicemail message from the post office! Someone found Jeff’s wallet and mailed it back to the (incorrect) address on his license. Luckily he apparently had something with my phone number on it in his wallet, so they called me! Woo! He picked it up today and said nothing is missing. Well, except any cash he had, of course. We had to all have figured that much, right? There wasn’t much, maybe $20-40 at most. He laughed that they took his cash, held his wallet for however long (I can tell you how long, it was August 14th that it went missing – 3 months), and then he had postage due to pick it up.

And yes, he made sure his new license has the correct address. But he swears he’s not losing his wallet again anyway!

Why does the universe seem to want to make me eat Chicken Pot Pies lately? I don’t want your damn chicken pot pie! I want what I want! Yesterday Jeff went to the grocery store to get a couple things, and he said if they had them there he was probably getting himself a sub for lunch. Did I want anything? Well, duh, yeah! But he called me while there to let me know what they had already made (tons of chicken pot pies apparently)… and nothing really did it for me. He picked up one of the things of their fried chicken for me since that sounded least offending. What I REALLY wanted yesterday was some Kraft Macaroni and cheese… so I made some for dinner last night. Just now I got an email letting us know there is leftover food upstairs from a lunch meeting that just let out. If I want I can come grab a … chicken pot pie. WTF?! lol Today (okay everyday really) I just really want a ham and cheese sandwich. Which of course is something I *can’t* have. My husband won’t let me do the lunchmeat thing. There is a very small risk with lunchmeat of listeria, which would be really bad for the baby. I couldn’t really make up my mind what to think about the whole lunchmeat thing so I just gave Jeff the facts and made him decide. Sadly he decided I just plain shouldn’t touch it. End of story. Some say you can heat up the lunchmeat and then it’s safe to eat – but god damn that’s not what I WANT. They call ‘em cold cuts for a reason! *shakes fist high above my head*

Anyway… that’s just me bitching. You should probably get used to that. It’s getting more and more frequent in real life…
