Our Tree

I finally put ornaments on the tree tonight! It looks really pretty, I love Christmas trees. I was noticing as I went along that most of these are actually ornaments Jeff & I have gotten, not many of the one’s that were handed down to me from my mom’s tree are left. (There was some water damage in the basement a couple years ago and I had to toss a bunch of things, but I didn’t notice at the time how much!) While it’s sad that some of those things are gone now, I do still have a few (including Baby’s First Christmas, 1981 and my three year old self on a snowflake!) so mixing those in with our ornaments kind of seems really special. I’m such a huge dork somedays.
I just ordered a new tree skirt yesterday, I can’t wait until it comes! I have been eyeing it for a little while and finally I asked Jeff if he though Dale would bother with the attached stuffed animal type parts… We decided he probably won’t, he usually leaves things along unless he is given them or otherwise allowed to have them. And Chewy might be interested in them but I doubt he could do much damage. I can’t wait! (This is the one I’m talking about.)
