I know it’s cold outside when our kitchen window looks like this:

Brrr. It’s something like 2 degrees out there, and very windy. It makes me glad that I didn’t and don’t have to go anywhere today. We sprung for the snow plow kid today – that’s always a well-spent $25. And the plow business is doing well! Last year he had just a regular old pickup with a plow, this year he’s got a new big fancy truck tricked out with his logo and phone number, the fancy V-plow (you know, with the bend in the middle?) and even the flashing lights! Way to go plow kid! He’s been good to us, so I’m glad.
Here’s hoping he, we, and you have a great 2009 as well. Happy New Year!
Also, Happy Birthday to my sister.
Will you be looking for a new job?
I sure hope not!
Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Definitely not.
New house?
I’m always looking for a new house, but that doesn’t mean we could afford to buy one.
What will you do different in 2009?
Hopefully a lot of things will change for the better!
New Years resolution?
Just working on some of those 101 goals.
What will you not be doing in 2009?
I will not get anything pierced.
Any trips planned?
None specifically, but hopefully we’ll be able to take another mini vacation this year.
Wedding plans?
None of my own, though I’m scheduled to be in one in June. I think… I haven’t heard anything on the subject recently, but I’m pretty sure I’m still involved.
What’s on your calendar?
… I don’t fully understand this question, but the only ‘09 calendar we have so far is a Halo video game one.
What can’t you wait for?
My real life to begin.
What would you like to see happen different?
These questions all seem very repetitive, I might not have picked the best survey to use.
Will you make more money in 09?
Probably not… I don’t think any raises are planned this year with the economy the way it is. Maybe I’ll pick up a good lottery ticket though.
Are you going to drink on New Years Eve?
No, I’m not a drinker or a partier in any way.
Do you expect 2009 to be a worse year for you than 2008?
No, not that 2008 has hit us especially hard, but I’m hoping for good things in ‘09. I know that’s pretty generic of me, but how can you not wish for “good things”, right?
It’s Dale day! There are tons of pictures, what with Christmas and all. Dale had a pretty good week. Yay Dale!

I have to admit that I am extremely miserable and grumpy. I’m not in the mood for writing this stupid blog, or playing the comments game. I’m not in the mood for explaining why I’m miserable, or feilding pointless “feel better” comments. I’m in the mood for holeing up under some really warm, really soft, thick blankets, and stuffing my face with chocolate.
The only reason I’m bothering to make sure I get online each day and post something on here is because I know that later I would be disappointed in myself that I signed up to post everyday and then just didn’t. So tomorrow and the days after I will likely return with some random post – don’t be surprised if it is cheerful fluff and I seem to forget about this post entirely. I plan to pretend it never happened. You should do that too.
I haven’t been feeling very social lately, which makes it hard to come up with things to share. So I figured I’d just be honest and let you know that right now? I’d rather be doing any one of these things than sitting here trying to come up with something interesting to write about. And basically this is how I’ve spent the entire day today.
Eating Fudge
Simming
Watching Lifetime Movies
Coloring
Sleeping
I hope you remembered from last month that Chewy day would be on Friday this week, because I forgot to mention it. I’m sure no one worried too much about it though! Chewy had a very busy week… so there are a LOT of pictures to share! We hope Santa had you on his good list and brought you lots of goodies. Enjoy!

I think Christmas should be more of a week-long festivity than a one day thing. It makes me a little sad when we wait so long for the day to finally get here, and then it’s gone in the blink of an eye. I miss you Christmas!
We had a good day, and made out like bandits as usual. We both got new jammies, and slippers, and between the two of us we got a ton of dvd’s: Batman, Wall-E, the Incredibles, Cars, Iron Man, and Spongebob Season 2. Plus I scored both Free Time and Apartment Life for Sims 2! Which I’ve been playing with for about the last two hours, I had to make myself stop to post in time. This is why I’m not allowed to Sim on a regular basis. I get sucked in too easily. I also got my new winter coat! And we scored some cash on top of all the presents. We decided to set up a Wii Fund starting with our Christmas money. We’re close, but don’t have quite enough for the console and an extra controller yet.
We didn’t make it out to Jeff’s dad’s (or Lights on the Lake) today afterall… For some reason the both of us were exhausted all day today. We must have been too excited for Santa’s arrival to sleep well! Once we finished eating at my mother’s we decided to call Jeff’s dad and play it by ear… if he sounded really excited we’d make sure we went out there to see him no matter what – but if it seemed like he had other things going on anyway we would ask him about coming later (next week maybe on Jeff’s day off). It sounded like he was pretty tired too, and he was fine with rescheduling. I like flexible people that let me go home to climb into my new comfy jammies and putter around the house. Jeff’s dad is on my A-List today.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Today each of us got to open one present early.

Jeff got his Batman movie (and we watched it).

I got Spongebob Season 2 (and we watched
the Christmas episode that’s on it).

Dale got some treats (and he liked them a lot).

And Chewy also got some treats (that he liked alot).
We also watched A Christmas Story, of course. And basically hung around the house all day, which is awesome. Tomorrow should be a busy day, Christmas here, then Christmas at my mom’s, then … not really Christmas at Jeff’s dad’s – but a visit, and then… since it’s not a whole lot farther than his dad’s… Lights on the Lake! Jeff pinky promised, so I think we’ll actually go this time. YAY! Merry Christmas everyone!
Remember how I mentioned the Netflix free trial and being able to watch things on the Xbox? Yeah, I added Seasons 1 and 2 of 30 Rock since I’ve never watched it before, and I hear a lot about it being awesome. I have only seen 10 episodes so far (there are apparently 21 episodes in the first season, and that seems like a lot!) and I kind of love it.
No one ruin anything for me, dammit. But uhh… which season is on now? Is there a season 3 or more out there that I need to look for?
I think my favorite is Kenneth. He cracks me up! I just watched the one with the Tracy Jordan Meat Machine where the grease spits out all over the damn place… “Could somebody please drive me to a hospital?” :snort:
Yes, that was my favorite part. I’m that lame.

Did you know Dale has a little bit of a bald spot on his tail? He does! Now you know. He had a hot spot at one point, which lead to the spot – and it’s been awhile so I’m pretty sure it’s not growing back anytime soon. Poor Dale, he’s got a grey chin and a bald spot!
He’s still friggin’ adorable though.
