2007 November 27 « Where the Sarah Things Are

Jeff and I went and got a pizza for dinner tonight. I was bugging him to cook for me and he just wasn’t feeling it. And really there wasn’t anything worth making. So Jeff put Dale in his kennel before we left, and apparently Chewy was in there hanging out… because when we got back? I turned on the light in the living room and there were four little eyes staring at me like “What the HELL were you thinking?!” It cracked me up.

Last night I put up our little Christmas tree and it actually made me pretty sad. I want a big tree. I have decided that a little 3 footer just isn’t the same! But I will suffer my baby tree (that was a steal at $7) this year, and after Christmas I will probably see if I can find a nice big one on sale for the future. It really is depressing though. It’s like a mini Christmas. I like big Christmases.

In other holiday news… I signed up for holidailies again this year! Yeah, I know I already told you I planned to. But then it didn’t seem like there was going to be a holidailies this year… and then yesterday Denise pointed out to me that the site had been updated. At first I was all “Dammit!” Because it’s already hard coming up with things to say… Do I really want to commit myself to another 31 days of posting?! Or rather… Can I do it? (I can.) So, yeah. You aren’t getting rid of me too soon.

And… today is my mom and Dave’s 15th wedding anniversary! This is a major milestone. You don’t even know. My mom is my step-dad’s third wife (and he’d probably murder me if he knew I was picking on him online), and his longest previous marriage was something like 7 years? So this is twice as long, plus one. The plus one matters because it’s a “5″ anniversary. You know that makes sense to you! Stop lying. Tomorrow we are taking them out to dinner here with my step-brother and his girlfriend (who oddly enough are Dave and Debbie… just like my parents! It’s kind of funny.) It’s going to be fun. I was thinking of trying to throw them a party, but that just wasn’t working out. I couldn’t even get my sisters to respond to my dinner invitation, I can’t imagine trying to get them to help me with a party! So now maybe I will save that for their 20 year anniversary, then we can plan a big blow-out. Don’t tell them though, it’s a surprise. Okay?
