A Christmas Rash…?

My parents are home safe now. I was going to go put Christmas up at their house while they were gone, but then the whole surgery thing happened and she told me to forget about it. But that would have been neat. And nice of me, wouldn’t it? It would have been a surprise, even though it was her idea. She was kidding mostly when she brought it up, and I was all “Pshaw, no way!” on the outside, but on the inside I was “Bwahahahaha, I shall do this thing!” Putting Christmas out at their house is super easier than at my house, because:

A) They actually have room to put Christmas things out.
B) Their house actually stays clean, so you don’t have to clean it up first. You can just dive in with the decorating.
C) They don’t really put much out. A small tree, a few snowmen and a Santa here and there.

Don’t worry, Christmas isn’t up at my house yet either. I kind of wanted to do it this weekend, but there was that whole I’d have to clean first. Paired with my cold that just wasn’t going to happen. Instead I watched a bunch of Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel, and on the ABC Family channel. It’s kind of funny how I will watch those even though the acting is so horrible, but if we rent a movie and the acting is that bad – I whine.

Today I discovered that I have a rash. I spotted it on my thighs first, then checked my arms and stomach and found more little red spots. So I called my mom and was all “I had chicken pox, didn’t I?!” I did. I knew I did. I saw pictures. She was all “yeah… sometimes people get something called shingles which is…” basically like another kind of chicken pox that adults can get if they’ve already had chicken pox. It’s not that though. I went and showed her my little red bumps and she says if anything, it looks like the measles. I’m pretty positive it’s not that though. So I think we have decided it’s just a rash. Since I’m not taking any drugs anymore (besides some Robitussin), and I haven’t switched laundry detergents or anything… I think we have also decided it is because of having a fever. Because apparently that’s possible. And though I don’t know that I had a fever (we don’t have a thermometer. Something I should probably look into eventually.) it’s definitely a possibility. If it’s still there, or gets any worse, I already have a doctor’s appointment Wednesday morning. So I will just show it to the doctor then.
