Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and stuffed yourselves silly with turkey and all the trimmings! I sure did. :) Only not all the trimmings, seeing how picky I am and all. My mom called from her camping holiday, and they’re having a great time. She kept pointing out how they are down south, y’know. That means they can hang out outside. In short sleeved tee-shirts. At the end of November! Yeah. It’s kind of snowing here. Not much yet, but it did turn cold and blowy out there, and the weather man says this rain is supposed to turn into snow. Yay us.

Tomorrow is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, as you all know. :) I am sooo not going anywhere near a store. Which kind of sucks since Jeff only has the one day off this week, and we could totally use a trip to Walmart for some groceries. At least we have all these leftovers, though! That should keep us fed for awhile, and we’ll just have to stop and pick up some random things at some point over the weekend. My sister is nuts though. Every year she gets up at the crack of dawn and hits up all the stores with her mother in law. Yikes! She thinks it’s fun! So I offered her some cash to pick me up a $3.98 coffee maker from the Walmart sale. She wouldn’t take my money though, she says it’s going to be my “sick present.” Question… Does that mean I can’t wrap it up for Jeff for Christmas now?

Today we watched a movie called Reign Over Me. It was really sad. At first it seemed a little slow moving, but there’s a point to the slow moving-ness, and it’s really a good movie. I only mention the movie, though, because I rock. At the end of the movie there’s this song playing, that played many times throughout the movie, but at the end it’s actually a cover of the original. My point? Jeff was all “I really like this.” And we were trying to figure out who it was. So I’m sitting there listening, and I’m all “It kind of sounds like Eddie Vedder.” But I didn’t really think it was him for a couple reasons. It was a little bit… edgier than “normal” Pearl Jam. And also it was like a song with real words, and meaning… as opposed to mostly sounds and/or a story? Which, duh, it’s a cover. But?! (And you probably figured this out already) It was totally Pearl Jam! I watched to the very end of the credits to see. And I think I deserve a prize!

ETA: Oh! And I watched the parade this morning, and found myself wondering where the Indians were. (PS Indian is not a naughty word, so don’t even start. Jeff works for the (Name Omitted) Indian Nation – not the (Name Omitted) Native American Nation, so I know.) One of the announcer people? Actually said something like “and here are the pilgrims! The people we owe for this holiday!” And my jaw just dropped. Seriously? The pilgrims shared the harvest? Man. They taught me completely wrong in Elementary School.
