Last night was fun! Jeff and I went to Applebee’s with Teresa & Rex, and Teresa and I (the two who weren’t stuck driving,
) got schnockered. Okay, not really. But we did have a strawberry (and then a mango) daiquiri, each. The second one was supposed to be strawberry and mango, but apparently the waitress only heard mango. It was still pretty good though, so we just drank them. Turns out those damn drinks were $4.99 each! There’s a reason they don’t put the prices on those lil drink menus. So between the two of us we spent $20 on DRINKS! Crazy, right? I will remember that next time, and stick to just one.
It was still a worthwhile trip. It’s not like we do it often, so we might as well live it up, right? For dinner I had a bacon cheddar chicken sandwich thingy. It was delicious. And I was STUFFED. Then we headed to the movies, and saw the Game Plan. (That’s the one with the Rock, and the little girl that plays the President’s daughter on Cory in the House. The show on the Disney Channel? I know I’m not the only one who watches that channel, so don’t even bother pretending.) It was a pretty cute movie. The best part though? And this might make me seem really mean… There are a lot of really sappy moments towards the end of the movie, as I’m sure you would imagine if you know what the movie’s about. And there was this little girl in the row ahead of us (not tiny little, she was probably 12 or 13), and she was totally all-out BAWLING at one point! It was cute, and I giggled. There may have been a little bit of pointing involved too, but nothing obvious, I swear!
This morning (or last night) was daylight savings time. So imagine how weird it was for me when I woke up at 7:30 (weird enough of me on a weekend) to realize it’s actually 6:30. In the effing morning! That’s just not right. But I was wide awake, so I got up. So far I haven’t made much use of the extra hour, I am doing some laundry, but that just needed to get done today. And I’m sitting here watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest on tv. And blogging. Obviously. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this movie? I don’t remember reading this book in school, though I know it’s one of the books you normally have to read. So about two years ago I (being the nerdy book lover I am) bought the book and read it on my own. So when I saw it was on tv today, I had to tune in. So far it’s good, but slow moving. As most older movies seem to be.
Maybe later today I will go somewhere and do something. But really, I left the house yesterday. That’s good enough, right?
