Thursday I woke up with a horrible back ache. One unlike any I’ve ever experienced before! It’s directly in the middle of my back, between my shoulder blades. And it aches to the point where I swear my ribs are aching too, but I’m pretty sure my ribs are just having sympathy pains. A nice hot shower and a dose of Advil made the pain pretty much go away (which means it dulled it to a barely noticeable uncomfortableness).
Friday I woke up pain free. That was super exciting!
Today is Saturday. And it’s back. And I’m super sad about that. I have no idea if this is because of the way I’m sleeping? Probably, right? Since I’m waking up this way. Has anyone out there ever had the between the shoulder blades ache in the morning? What do you think causes it? (Sleeping on your back, maybe? I think I woke up both those days on my back – which is odd for me. I’m a stomach/side sleeper usually.)
So far today all I’ve done is pop some Advil. And that has not helped. So I’m thinking it must have been the shower that helped on Thursday, and that is where I’m headed as soon as I finish this post.
But first you need to know that I didn’t end up babysitting last night. The other friend (who is the old babysitter before Kendra and Damien moved) wanted to play with the baby (it’s okay to call a 2 year old a baby, right? She calls herself the baby, so I’ve kind of started doing it too. It’s cute. She’s all “baby go nappy?”) … so, yeah! The baby went there instead and I was off the hook. And tonight Jeff and I are supposed to go to Applebee’s and a movie with Teresa and Rex. If the movie is early enough, I guess. And there’s one at 4:05, so I think that should work.
