I Painted a Mailbox!

I think I mentioned a couple mailbox painting projects before, but I might have forgotten to? One is for my neighbor, friend, and post office lady. And that one is half done! Are you ready to see side one? You really better prepare yourself, because it turned out kind of awesome. I am a little bit scared about doing the other side because of it’s awesomeness! But I think I have decided not to try and make it the same -on purpose- so that there won’t be this performance anxiety. I’m thinking either Tigger (if I can mix an orange with the paints I’ve got) or just a couple flowers and some bumblebees. Either would work! See? (Don’t mind the clutter…)

I know. I pretty much rocked it! Especially considering I had to freehand paint that (as opposed to being able to sketch it in first). Pretty much what she told me she wanted was “Maybe Pooh? Or Labs. Or Patriotic? I don’t know, but I trust you!” I think she will like it, but she hasn’t seen it yet – so don’t tell her, okay? I want to finish it before I show it to her.

And the other mailbox has one side almost finished, and that one’s for my parents. I think it’s looking pretty good! But I didn’t take a picture yet. I have to outline the numbers on it, because it looks funny the way it is now. (Trust me on this, it will make it look finished, and then it will rock.)
