No really. They do! I am so excited that even though Saturday is almost over I still have two more days off! It is wonderfully amazing. Today was actually pretty boring, though somewhat productive. I took Dale and my car both over to my mom’s house for baths. But I couldn’t find any car wash stuff at their house! Don’t they know they are supposed to keep me stocked up on these things? So I ended up dropping Dale off at home and going to a real car wash. After Dale got his bath, of course.
My parents have a bit of a chipmunk problem at their house. Every year my step-dad wages war on them. Today there was one of those humane traps in the yard (PS He uses ho-ho’s for bait!), and a chipmunk was in it! Notice I said was? Dale kind of got all excited and was all, “It’s an alive thing! A small alive thing! I must sniff it!” And he kind of made the chipmunk freak out? And that pretty much scared the crap out of Dale. And somehow the trap flipped over upside down. And then the chipmunk found a way out of the upside down trap, and ran away very, very fast. Anyway. I think we should call the chipmunk “Chip.” For obvious reasons. (Chipmunk? Dale? Chip and Dale?)
Then after the dog and car washing chores were done, I went grocery shopping. I got things to make this, and this (only I got strawberries instead of cherries… Genius, right?!). But neither of them were for today.
Tonight we made french bread pizzas! Or, well… sub roll thingy pizzas. Pretty much it was the best idea I have had in forever! I am still drooling over my dinner even though it is long gone, and I am still full.
Pretty much I have no plans for tomorrow, either! It is going to be fun just chilling out. I may go through the closet finally, I have been meaning to do that for awhile. There are tons of things in there that Jeff and I don’t wear anymore, so why are we keeping it all? And then I wonder why I can never find a hanger when I am putting away clothes. And on Monday we are going to go see Pirates with Jamie, Denise and “J”… I will let you know if he is, in fact, real. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day! Do some barbecuing, or something, for me… okay?
I’m pretty sure boys get PMS. I wasn’t sure before, but now I am 100% positive that they do. And Jeff has got it. He is so freaking moody! I’m pretty much ready to slap him around a little bit. Or a lot a bit. Pretty much anything I say has the potential to piss him off and send him stomping off to watch tv in bed. (Which is pouting. Just so you know.) Like just now? He was playing video games and I said, “So when your game is over your going to load the dishwasher and make me a cake, right? Thanks!” Umm, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pretty much said the same thing? But this time? Oh. My. God. He got all kinds of pissed and told me I was being rude. Where is the rude? I didn’t see any rude? So then he turned off his game and stomped off to the official pouting room. And I ignored him, because frankly? He has been this way all freaking week, and I give up. Pout if you want to pout.
And of course, now that I start publicly bitching he comes out and says, “If I load the dishwasher, will you make a cake?” What, compromise? Can PMS’ing people do that? I told him that if he apologized for being moody I would. He said no. Lol! So I said that if he at least admitted he was being moody I would. And he did! I just heard the words, “You’re right. I was.” And then I fainted. Not really, but pretty damn close.
So now the dishwasher is running and I have to make a cake. Dammit! But seriously, if he keeps this up? I’m going to hurt him.
No, not me. But the blog might be. I’m testing the waters.
Come check it out!
Where the Sarah Things Are.
Happy Mother’s day to all the mommy’s, and mommy’s to-be! (PS This counts for furball babies too.) My mom got her gift a couple weeks ago, since neither she nor I have the patience to actually wait for the big day. But I went over for a little bit earlier to drop off her card and visit. They had a friend over visiting and were hanging out on the porch getting ready to make some crab legs and corn on the cob. I think it must be summer! Mom loved her card, by the way. We found a really cute Grandmother card with two kitties on it, and one of the kitty’s looked just like our evil little Chewy. Jeff came up with the brilliant idea to print out a picture of the furkids, and I taped it over the card kitties. And we signed the card “Love, Dale and Chewy (and Jeff and Sarah too!)”
I spent a chunk of last night and today playing with my website, and I finally have something uploaded! Right now it’s just the front page and the about section, but if you want to check it out… Marcellus Design.
This is what I’m currently working on; wedding invitations for one of my best friends (Kendra!) and her almost-husband (Damien!)

Front View. (The dotted line is where the front cover folds over to. There isn’t actually a random dotted line in the middle of the invite. I’m not that weird. Yet.)

Inside the invitation.
The invites have been approved, and now we’re working on the map cards and RSVP. This is what I just sent them for feedback:

Reception Card.

Ceremony Card.

And the RSVP (Postcard style.)
I was totally into the purple outline on the RSVP while I was working on it… and now I’m not sure if I dig it anymore. But, that’s something they get the pleasure of deciding on! I’ll update later if major changes are made.
Look at me being all fancy and starting up a wordpress blog. Sometimes I swear I hardly know myself anymore! I’m not sure if this will be my permanent blog home just yet, but I’m starting her up for a test run. So far, I like the way she drives! If you’re curious, this is where my previous blogging has taken place, and where it will resume if I decide not to go ahead with WordPress: Unmentionables. I seem to have let it peter out recently, but I’m thinking of making a come back. And, of course, all the best comebacks take place in new surroundings. So here is to all the Sarah Things to come! May they find you happy and well, and perhaps most importantly… may they be interesting as hell!
PS If you’d like to learn a little more about me while I’m working on setting up the new digs, my very first act as an official WordPress blogger was to set up my profile. So check out the about section.
